The National Bank of Ukraine has issued modified banknotes with the slogan “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!” to the 33rd anniversary of Ukraine's independence
The press service of the National Bank of Ukraine reported this.
When will banknotes with the inscription “Glory to Ukraine! appear in circulation? Glory to the heroes!”
The NBU reported that they will gradually introduce modified banknotes into circulation:
Now watching
- from August 8, 2024 – in denominations of 500 and 1000 hryvnias;
- from August 23, 2024 – in denominations of 50 hryvnias;
- in the following years – in denominations of 20, 100 and 200 hryvnias.
Modified banknotes will be issued to replace worn and damaged banknotes in order to ensure circulation of the required volumes of cash of the corresponding denominations and to improve the quality of cash in circulation.
The new hryvnia banknotes will replace banknotes of the 2014-2019 samples.

What has changed in the design of the new banknotes with a patriotic slogan
Now in the upper right part on the back of the new banknotes there is a slogan “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!”.
All other design and security elements of the modified banknotes will be the same as in the 500 hryvnia denominations of the 2015 model year, 1,000 hryvnia of the 2019 model and 50 hryvnia of the 2019 model.
The signature of the head of the National Bank Andriy Pyshnyy is on the front side of the modified banknotes, and the year of issue is on the back.
