Russian shelling of a shopping center in Kremenchuk became a great tragedy for the city. The pain of this tragedy is shared by the whole of Ukraine.

To express their condolences to the families of the dead and injured, people bring flowers and children's toys to the site of the tragedy. This atrocity brought dozens of deaths of peaceful Ukrainians and a lot of grief in their families.

The most tragic day in the history of Poltava region

Chairman of the Poltava Regional Military Administration Dmitry Lunin admitted that June 27, 2022 is the most tragic day in the modern history of the Poltava region.

The inhuman crimes of Russian terrorists have led to dozens of deaths in Kremenchug. Residents of Kremenchug bring flowers and children's toys to the Amstor shopping center in memory of the innocent victims of Russian terror,” he said.

Lunin wished a quick recovery to all the victims and sympathized with the families and friends of the victims.

The shopping center has never been a military facility

Rescuers are still clearing the rubble. The scene of the tragedy was visited by Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova, Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky and others.

This is a completely civilian object. Neither the Armed Forces nor other military formations have ever been located here. There are no bunkers and warehouses with weapons. There is nothing here that would threaten any of the military,” Monastyrsky said.

According to him, this is what testifies to a solid hit in a civilian object. The minister assured that the evidence of this crime would be collected, properly executed and transferred to international institutions as well. Such a crime is targeted against the civilian population of Ukraine.
