GUR MO specialists Ukraine at the end of May carried out a powerful cyber attack on Russian providers. At least 250 thousand subscribers were left without communications in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, in particular in Crimea.

According to information from sources < strong>24 Channel, representatives of Russian providers called this attack the most powerful DDos attack they have ever encountered. It took the providers at least 16 hours to partially restore communications.

What is known about the cyber attack on Russian providers

A large-scale cyber attack, carried out by specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region, at the end of May left at least 250 thousand subscribers without communication in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, in in particular in Crimea.

According to the general director of one of the Russian telecom operators, Ivan Zima, it took providers at least 16 hours to partially restore communications, but a significant number of subscribers remained without communications more than two days. The attack affected both subscriber networks and operator infrastructure.
