The command of Russian infidels refuses to evacuate wounded soldiers to save military equipment. This is a vivid example of a violation of military professionalism that undermines the morale of the invaders.
These are the conclusions of the American Institute for the Study of War. In their study, analysts used data from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and materials from Russian military bloggers.
The Russian command violates the principles of military professionalism
Refusal to evacuate the wounded just to keep more equipment at the front is a violation of the principle of professionalism on the part of the occupation command. The Institute for the Study of War stressed that they could not independently confirm the conclusions of Ukrainian intelligence, but the words of Russian military bloggers confirm this.
As an example, one of the military bloggers accused the Russian command of a large number of losses, in particular in Zaporozhye and is that among the invaders there are cases of madness.
Another blogger claims that the command does not send reinforcements in time, which is why the infidels have no time to rest. This also affects morale.
The actions of the Russian command can play into the hands.
The Institute for the Study of War believes that the actions of the Russian command, undermining the morale of the infidels, can play into the hands of Ukraine and the Armed Forces can launch a counteroffensive with significant success.
If Russian forces stuck on secondary axes lose their will to fight as the battle for Severodonetsk consumes much of Russia's existing offensive combat power, Ukraine could stand a chance of launching a significant counter-offensive with good prospects for success, – the ISW material says.
Analysts note that this possibility is uncertain, however, it is likely that Ukrainian troops will use this opportunity, given the weaknesses of the occupiers.
Why do the Russians need success in Severodonetsk
Russian troops are making significant efforts to capture Severodonetsk, but the Institute for the Study of War notes that tactical successes there will not bring benefits to the occupiers.
If Severodonetsk is taken, the Kremlin can only declare full control over the Lugansk region and pass it off as a “victory”. However, now the occupying army is spending a lot of resources on the offensive, as fierce battles continue for the city.
