Russian prisoners can take part in the restoration of Ukraine/UkraineWall

There are really a lot of Russian prisoners, exchanges of prisoners are held periodically, which allows us to keep this figure within reasonable limits. A camp for prisoners of war is at the final stage of creation, so we will soon place them there.

The Minister of Justice Denis Malyuska spoke about this on the air of Channel 24. He also noted that they will not reopen the inactive colonies yet.

The Minister of Justice says that, according to the requirements of the Geneva Convention, we are obliged to provide prisoners with basic things.

We are now actively negotiating funding with donors and the Red Cross, because we don’t really want to spend state funds on such a story, says Malyuska.

Will there be captured Russians to restore Ukraine

As for the use of prisoners for post-war reconstruction, it is indeed possible. However, we have always been able to use criminals for such options, this is not prohibited. But such actions are not very popular in the country, because they are not a qualified workforce and they need constant monitoring, the Minister of Justice of Ukraine is convinced.

There are three guards for one prisoner, so it’s not very profitable for us, noted Denis Malyuska.
