State expert of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Andrey Vasilenko was fired from his post for anti-Ukrainian statements.
The head of the department, Oksen Lisovoy, announced this on Facebook.
— The order to dismiss Andrei Vasilenko has been signed. Starting tomorrow, he will no longer hold any position in the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. This decision was made based on the results of the disciplinary proceedings that we initiated at the Ministry the day before, — the message says.
The Minister emphasized that the civil service — this is a great responsibility.

According to Lisovoy, not a single person who questions the independence of his country has the right to hold public office.
We recall that in August Andrei Vasilenko made public post in which he publicly ridiculed the independence of Ukraine and praised the Soviet occupation of Lithuania.
For its part, the Ministry of Education began disciplinary proceedings due to anti-Ukrainian statements by an employee.
