In 2023, Ukrainian sky defenders from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 3.8 thousand air targets that were fired by Russia into the cities and villages of Ukraine.
This is stated in the note of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for the evening of January 6.
So, during the past 12 months, Ukrainian troops destroyed:

- 41 ballistic missiles of another type;
- 2691 Shahed type UAV;
- 35 Lancet drones;
- 131 Orlan and other UAVs.

The Ministry of Defense thanked the international partners who are helping Ukraine strengthen its air defense, and also assured that there will be even more achievements ahead, in 2024.
Recall that on the night of Saturday, January 6, Ukrainian air defense destroyed two Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones, with which Russia again attacked Ukraine.
In addition, the British Ministry of Defense reported that the downing of three Russian Su-34 aircraft in the south of Ukraine could affect Russian operations that the Russian army carried out on the left bank of the Kherson region.
