On February 10, Russia massively attacked Ukraine. One of the missiles once again ended up in the airspace of Moldova.
The Ministry of Defense of Moldova confirmed that the Russian missile was on the territory of the country.
“The responsible structures of the institution in 10 :18 discovered a missile that crossed the airspace of the Republic of Moldova over the city of Mokraya in the Transnistrian region, and later over the city of Kosauke in the Soroca region. The missile was heading towards Ukraine,” the agency wrote.
Added that the Ministry of Defense closely follows the situation in the region in cooperation with the responsible structures and strongly condemns the violation of Moldovan airspace.
Missiles were also in Romania.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and General Valery Zaluzhny reported that 2 Kalibr missiles crossed the borders of Romanian airspace. The country is a member of NATO. The missiles were first on the territory of Moldova at 10:18.
Approximately at 10:33 these missiles crossed the airspace of Romania. After that, they again entered the airspace of Ukraine, – said Zaluzhny.
The incident was also commented on by Yuriy Ignat, speaker of the Air Force. According to him, Ukraine had the opportunity to shoot down missiles, but the military understood the risks and threats to the population of another country. Ignat emphasized that this is not the first time Russia has violated the airspace of foreign states.
