The Ministry of Defense has accelerated the supply of new types of weapons and military equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The period should be reduced to 20 days, although this may vary depending on the quality and completeness of the parts provided by the manufacturer.
The acceleration became possible thanks to changes to the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 345 dated February 25, 2015, which were introduced at a meeting on November 21 at the initiative of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
Previously, before weapons or equipment entered the Armed Forces of Ukraine, manufacturers went through a procedure that consisted of six stages. It could last for several months.

From now on, one of the longest bureaucratic obstacles has been removed from it – the issuance of an order for admission to operation, the coordination of which with various structures of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff lasted about a month.
The updated weapons supply process provides for reductions in time at other stages. In particular, testing of new weapons and testing of combat characteristics will take place on the battlefield.
If there were successful results, then no further testing is needed. For example, this used to be the case with the Bogdan wheeled self-propelled howitzer, which proved itself during combat missions.
Another change concerns the procurement of the most popular classes of drones (micro and mini), civil or dual-use, which can be converted to perform combat missions.
Now the government customer can purchase the corresponding drones, even if they have not been approved for operation and codified as an item of supply.
