Thus, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine spoke about the situation with the offensive of Russian troops in the Donbass and whether a counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is being prepared in these territories. The speaker of the department Alexander Motuzyanyk spoke about this.
According to Motuzyanyk, today the enemy has some temporary successes in certain areas, but it is impossible to talk about the retreat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After all, the steps taken by the Ukrainian command are dictated by the specifics of its strategy.
Regarding the counteroffensive in the Donbass, the speaker of the Ministry of Defense assured that the entire territory of Ukraine would be liberated, but when this would be is still unknown. He says that everything depends on how the situation develops in the East and South.
According to the strategic plan of the Ministry of Defense, we have a goal – to liberate the entire territory of our state. And sooner or later, broad counter-offensive actions must take place. At the same time, it will depend on the general situation that has now developed in the East and South of our state,” he stressed.
At the same time, Oleksandr Motuzyanyk added that he is not ready to say when it will be. But, according to him, the Ministry of Defense will certainly liberate our lands from Russian invaders.

Russia is preparing in Donbas three “cauldrons”
The American Institute for the Study of War stated that Russia seems to have abandoned its intention to cordon off the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the East, however, the military leadership of the occupiers is preparing three so-called “boilers”.
Thus, the aggressor's armed forces are trying to achieve the so-called “boilers in Donetsk and Lugansk regions. We are talking about the following three “cauldrons”:
- the wider area of Severodonetsk (including Rubizhne and Lysichansk);
- Bakhmut – Lysichansk, around Zolote (northeast of Popasnaya );
- around the Ukrainian fortifications in Avdiivka.
They tried to start a permanent advance in these areas, however, they did not manage to achieve any serious “breakthrough”.
Pay attention: According to Aleksey Arestovich, the movement of Russian troops in Donbas can be explained. The invaders want to make a “new Mariupol” on the territory of the Donetsk region. We are talking about Lisichansk and Severodonetsk, which are still surrounded.
