Lisyansky about the “purges” in Russia/Collage of Channel 24

< strong _ngcontent-sc88="">The American Institute for the Study of War has reported that the Kremlin wants to appoint General Sergei Surovikin to replace Alexander Dvornikov. This may mean that “purges” continue in Russia due to the failure of the war in Ukraine.

Pavel Lisyansky, a human rights activist and director of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Security, told Channel 24 about this. He says that the Kremlin is changing its leadership because middle Russian military officials are dissatisfied with the leadership.

According to him, the occupiers are so dissatisfied that there are whole brigades that raise riots and run away from their positions.

And in order to “pay off” this rebellion of the Russian army below, they change the commander of the occupying “operation” in Ukraine. This is already being done for the third time,โ€ the expert noted.

Lisyansky is sure that Sergei Surovikin is not such a professional in conducting such military operations. “This is just a move to replace someone. And the “gray cardinal” will lead, for example, some first deputy,” he believes.

In his opinion, Russians have terrible demotivation.

“So, the Buryats already refuse to fight in early June, so they rebel. There is complete anarchy – the Kadyrovites do their own thing, the Cossacks do their own, the soldiers of the occupied territories of Ukraine also do their own,” says the human rights activist.

Lisyansky added that they (the Buryats, Kadyrovites and the military mobilized from Donbass) are in conflict with each other in order to manage factories, enterprises and the like in the occupied territories.

Lisyansky on the situation at the front and the “purge” of officers in Russia:
