Heavy fighting continues in Soledar, but the Ukrainian defenders are resisting the invaders. The commander of the aerial reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign “Magyar” spoke about the state of affairs in the city.
According to him, the situation is difficult, but controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Our defenders hold back the onslaught of the enemy repeatedly and daily.
There is no reason to panic
The military notes that the fighting is “very loud with shooting and shelling.” However, assures Magyar, there is no reason to panic.
The commander urges the Ukrainians not to heed the IPSOsh reports that the city was surrounded and thousands of soldiers were taken prisoner.
No need to exaggerate – it's all nonsense. The same as Prigozhin in the tank in the salt mine, says the warrior.
He also added that at present the enemy occupied one or another part of the city. It must be understood that there is no complete, established action in this.

“That is, an enemy assault group, for example, consisting of 10 people, entered, broke through 100-300 meters. Those ten attack aircraft took up a position, and if they are not immediately knocked out of there, then after a certain period of time an additional force will be pulled up there and then they will this position and gain a foothold on it,” the military explained the situation.
He noted that there are times when a position changes hands for weeks.

“Magyar” says that street fighting in Soledar is a terrible thing: orientation in space is difficult, there is no definite line of defense.
According to the military, in Soledar there is no limit for both sides, and even more so for civilians who remain here for unknown reasons.
This is a state in which it is dangerous for everyone: somewhere there may be breakthroughs, somewhere there may be counter breakthroughs, there is no permanent line now.

The situation in Soledar: briefly
- The invaders switched their attention from Bakhmut to Soledar. Therefore, now fierce battles are going on in the city. In particular, it is known that the invaders from Kherson transferred elite Russian paratroopers and Wagner troops to Soledar and Kremennaya.
- Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said that the approaches to Soledar are littered with the corpses of Russian invaders. Enemy fighters move right over the bodies of their fallen brethren.
- The Ukrainian defenders have a very well equipped defense line near Bakhmut, Soledar and neighboring settlements. Now the military is holding back the invaders in the Soledar area and along the entire line of confrontation along Bakhmutka.
- The head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, even stated that his mercenaries already completely control the city.
- Actually, it is not. The Armed Forces of Ukraine resist the enemy and hold back his offensive. The fighting is very intense, so it is impossible to say exactly how much of the territory is under the control of each side.
