The Mayor of Mariupol predicted when the city would be liberated from Russian invaders/Channel 24
Mariupol became the city that resisted the invaders for months, a place of endurance, and its defenders – a symbol of invincibility. The city has been under blockade since March 2022.

The invaders purposefully destroy house after house, killing thousands of Ukrainians, and many of the survivors were forced to go through filtration camps and live through a humanitarian catastrophe. However, the locals continue to believe that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon unblock Mariupol. The mayor of the city, Vadim Boychenko, believes that this will happen in winter, he even predicted the months of the liberation of the city from Russian invaders.
De-occupation, according to Boychenko, will take place in December-January, the boundary of the current year and 2023.
In the near future, without waiting for the de-occupation, we will calculate the damage caused by Russia, we also look at what is needed to restore. Then, when our guys, in December-January, deblock Mariupol, we go to the city and with experts we will assess the damage and we will restore it step by step. the mayor said.
After the assessment of the experts, the revival will begin. Over 10 years, it is planned to restore half of the city, which will take about 14 billion euros. At the same time, they want to start preparing for the revival soon, for example, they intend to create an architecture catalog so that Mariupol residents themselves choose the part of the city that they will restore first.
Please note: according to rough estimates, The city now has about 120,000 inhabitants. According to the statistics of the city authorities, 220-240 thousand people are in the territories controlled by our state, 40 thousand Mariupol residents abroad, 50 thousand were deported towards Russia.
