Lukashenko threatens with “plans” for the West of Ukraine/RosSMI

Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko began talking about some imaginary “threats” to Ukraine from Poland and said that in this case he would have to react.

Lukashenka is sure that Poland dreams of the West of Ukraine. In his opinion, the Ukrainians will still ask Belarusians and Russians for help. This was reported by the Belarusian propaganda media.

At the same time, he said that in the event of Poland's invasion of Ukraine, Belarus would have to respond immediately. Because Belarus does not want to be surrounded by Poles.

Here we have to react. Because we cannot allow the Poles to cordon us off at all. This is an unsafe option. And I once said: the Ukrainians will also ask us with the Russians to help them maintain integrity. In order not to be unhooked,” Lukashenka said.

Lukashenko has already found the culprits in advance

According to Lukashenka, “behind Poland are the Americans who finance give armaments, overthrow the armed forces”. He is also sure that the West is trying to draw Belarus into the war.

Putin never asked me: come on, come in, kill someone in Ukraine and so on. But they (West – Channel 14) are pushing us into this conflict in order to deal with both Russia and Belarus and build a front – a line from St. Petersburg to Rostov. To avoid this Belarusian balcony, as it is called. Failed in 2020. They continue to do it by other methods,” said the self-proclaimed President of Belarus.

Is there really a threat from Belarus

  • The military activity of the Belarusians remains near the border with Ukraine. In particular, they put their army on alert. Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs warned that Belarusians could deploy sabotage and reconnaissance groups to Volyn in order to divert and delay the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
  • During June 14-16, Belarusians conducted command and staff training. Currently, they are producing engineering equipment for positions in the border areas of the Brest region. Observers reported that Belarusian troops began to conduct much more training activities in June.
  • On June 15, reception centers for mobilized were opened near the Belarusian-Ukrainian border.
  • Ukrainian border guards reported that Belarus deployed 7 of its battalions near Ukraine and attracted units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. But so far there is no strike force that could carry out an attack.
  • Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Viktor Andrusiv said that the operational situation around the Belarusian-Ukrainian border does not look like there are forces for an invasion. He is convinced that the talk about a new attack on Kyiv is “an information operation of pure water.” Thus, the enemy wants to pull back part of the Ukrainian troops so that they are not attracted to more tense directions – in the East or South.
  • At the same time, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said that President Volodymyr Zelensky on June 15 gathered meeting and instructed to check the readiness for the invasion of Belarus in four areas. Danilov did not specify which regions he was talking about. In total, 5 regions border Belarus: Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne and Volyn.
