The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine introduced additional security measures after the poisoning of the wife of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Marianna Budanova.
This was stated by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate Andrei Yusov on the air of the national information telethon Ediny Novyny. According to him, all necessary actions and conclusions have been made.
Marianna Budanova’s health is now acceptable; her hospitalization has already ended after a long course of treatment. Yusov noted that the investigation into the poisoning — also a long process.

Poisoning of Marianna Budanova
On the afternoon of November 28, it became known that the wife of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Marianna Budanova, had been poisoned with heavy metals. Several intelligence officers also had mild symptoms of poisoning.
Later, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine began an investigation into the poisoning case. Previously, Yusov reported that at this stage the investigation is being carried out by the internal security unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
