The GUR of Ukraine is observing serious problems in the Russian army. The Russian system especially suffers from a shortage of military personnel.

This assessment is based on the losses of the Russian army personnel. This was stated on the air of the telethon by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Yusov, Channel 24 reports.

Problems with recruiting Russians into the army will be felt at the front

Andrey Yusov said that the Russians can replenish the personnel of their army. But they already have problems with recruiting new contract soldiers. This will affect the situation at the front.

The security and defense forces work in coordination and, of course, data exchange also occurs. It is clear that such assessments are made based, in particular, on large losses in manpower, equipment, and enemy forces and resources. Yes, they can replenish these losses, but serious, significant problems with recruiting new contract soldiers are already being observed. And the aggressor state is coming up with more and more incentives at different levels in order to attract new cannon fodder, but this machine is starting to fail, Yusov said.

The GUR representative also commented on the information that Russia plans to increase the number of people involved in the war against Ukraine from 520 to 620 thousand people by the end of the year.

“Actually, these are the figures that were mentioned earlier. And these are the enemy's plans. It should be noted that we are talking about the entire group. That is, this is not only the combat component. These are the forces and support themselves, these are the forces that are responsible for the so-called “order” in the occupied territories, and in fact – for repression. Because this is not only the combat component. So, they are trying to move according to this plan,” Yusov said.
