The leader of the Ukrainian biathlon team, Yulia Dzhima , will miss the starting stage of the Biathlon World Cup of the 2023/24 season in Ostersund, Sweden.
Senior coach of the Ukrainian national team Nikolai Zots told Suspilny about this in a commentary.
He said that Jima's participation in Östersund is not possible because there are many warnings that she will have an unstable season.

“Because of her illness, September and October seemed like this… There was a disruption in the training process, she needs to make up for everything.” There is no time to do basic work before Östersund. To do it slowly, it’s better for her to come to Hochfilzen,” said Zotz.
According to him, they came to the conclusion that it would be better for the 33-year-old athlete and the team as a whole for her to prepare for the stage in Hochfilzen, Austria.
Biathlon World Cup 2023/24
The first stage of the Biathlon World Cup in the new season starts on November 25. They will be preceded by qualifying competitions within the national team, based on the results of which the composition of the Ukrainian team will be formed.
The second stage of the season in Hochfilzen will take place on December 8-10, and the third in Lenzerheide (Switzerland) is scheduled for December 14-17.
