Russian invaders sentenced Crimean Dzhemil Gafarov to 13 years. Enemies did not give him any medical assistance, the man died.
This was reported to the public association “Crimean Solidarity” by lawyer Lilia Gemedzhi. Gafarov was in the isolation ward of Novocherkassk.
“I called the pre-trial detention center, they told me that he had died. They said that they would take him to the morgue today,” Gemedzhi said.
Required regular dialysis
The health of illegally imprisoned 60-year-old Gafarov was deteriorating. His lawyer, Emil Kurbedinov, reported that the man was refused a medical examination.
The wife of the prisoner, Razie Gafarova, noted that in 2017 her husband suffered a myocardial infarction. He was in critical condition. In addition, Gafarov was diagnosed with kidney failure with impaired filtration of the kidneys. Therefore, the man needed regular kidney dialysis. This is impossible to do in a pre-trial detention center.
The Russian Federal Enforcement Service does not publicly report Gafarov's death.
