The Ministry of the Interior is forming an “Offensive Guard” that will liberate the occupied territories. Russia said that this did not “threaten” Crimea.
Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov reacted to the creation of the “Offensive Guard”.
“Donbass is not fully protected yet, and therefore the” special military operation “is continuing. Actually, we must protect the people living there. So far, the goal has not been fully achieved. This remains to be done. Crimea is, like the Donbass, a region of Russia. Security Crimea is securely secured,” Peskov said.
What the Offensive Guard will do
The creation of the formation was announced by the interim Acting Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko. According to him, the “Offensive Guard” will include servicemen and policemen who have heroically proven themselves at the front. They will not perform any logistics tasks.
