The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry spoke about the negotiations to end the war. Lavrov says that the aggressor country is against freezing the conflict.

The Russian Foreign Minister also noted that, supposedly, no steps are visible from Kyiv and the West that would indicate a readiness for peace talks.

Lavrov cynically added that Moscow will not engage in empty talk about ceasefire in Ukraine, but will consider “any serious proposals for a settlement.”

The official also stated that Russia is against freezing the war, since, according to him, this will allow the West to arm Kyiv and take revenge.

Recall that Vladimir Putin said that he is open to dialogue with the United States, including on Ukraine.
