“Partly” mobilized Russians are already getting to the front in Ukraine, including its eastern sections. However, so far these have been only targeted, and not mass, transfers of people.
At the same time, most of the mobilized remain on the territory of Russia, but closer to the borders with Ukraine. Alexander Musienko, head of the Center for Military Legal Research, spoke about this on Channel 24.
“Preparing” mobilized for war
The analyst notes that most of the mobilized Russians are now undergoing combat coordination, but it has little in common with real training. However, they are mostly still in Russia.
That is, Russia has not yet deployed most of these troops to the occupied territories. But I think that they will rush, because nevertheless we see how bad the situation is for them now at the front. – stressed Alexander Musienko.
Consequently, he believes that due to the lack of forces in the areas of active hostilities, the Russians will do everything to speed up the overturning of the mobilized.
The transfer of the mobilized creates risks
The expert expressed his conviction that large-scale overturning of the mobilized to the front will create risks for Russia, because dissatisfaction with their mobilization is spreading among them.
They are starting to say it publicly. Of course, due to the risks that are now emerging, one can more and more observe how the Kremlin is losing the situation and control over the ongoing processes. – said the analyst.
We are talking about the regions where mobilization is carried out, and about people who publicly express dissatisfaction with the retreat of Russian troops and the loss of positions.
“Yes, and among those mobilized who are dissatisfied with the provision, the fact that they they don’t provide weapons, clothes, uniforms, food, payments, and so on in the proper amount,” Alexander Musienko explained.
Mobilization in Russia
- Vladimir Putin announced mobilization in Russia in September against the backdrop of a successful counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region. First, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the need for 300,000 mobilized.
- Subsequently, the Russian media disseminated information that they actually planned to mobilize 1,200,000 Russians. However, Aleksey Arestovich stated that they were really able to mobilize barely 100 thousand men.
- Another consequence of the mobilization was the mass exodus of Russians to other states. It is estimated that more men have fled Russia than there are in the constantly warring group against Ukraine.
