The dramatic increase in defense spending in the Russian budget for 2024 indicates that Russia is betting on the war and subsequent killings of Ukrainians.
This was stated by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Ermak in your Telegram channel.
He noted that the Putin regime plans to spend a record $112 billion (about 11 trillion rubles) on the Russian army in 2024. This is almost twice as much as this year.

In such conditions, according to Ermak, Western sanctions “are capable of finally burying the Russian economy”. In his opinion, with such large costs for the war, the Russian Federation will have no chance of avoiding economic collapse in the future.
“Sanctions should accelerate it – lay the foundations for decline,” the head of the OPU clarified.
Ermak also recalled that Ukraine needs more support from Western allies and weapons.
Another task is to destroy the Russian military-industrial complex so that the aggressor cannot produce missiles, attack drones and military equipment.
