Statements are increasingly heard from the Russian leadership that the West is allegedly seeking the collapse of Russia. Thus, the Kremlin wants to influence the mood of the Russian society.

Colonel of the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military expert, pilot-instructor Roman Svitan told Channel 24 about this. According to him, the Russian authorities are trying to raise the motivation of Russians to fight further.

After all, now the representatives of the occupying army do not understand why they are dying.

“The Russians are no longer understanding what Russia is doing in Ukraine and whom it is “protecting.” Even the Russian people are beginning to realize the illogicality of certain actions of the Kremlin leadership,” Svitan stressed.

Russia is trying to form a mobilization resource

The colonel of the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine believes that the Kremlin is trying to increase the motivation of the Russians before increasing the conscription into the Russian army.

It is now very important for the Russian leadership to increase the number of military personnel and create certain mobilization resources. If this is not done, the Russians may be left without an army in the next 3 months, – the military expert noted.

Svitan added that the Russian authorities will try to create a mobilization resource by the summer. However, now there are big problems with this, because no one wants to fight.

The only option to influence the Russians

According to the military expert, the theses about “protecting one's own” no longer apply to Russians.

Now the Kremlin is turning on the “protection” of Russia itself as such. Only this option remains, and now they are starting to overclock it,” Svitan noted.

He added that Dmitry Medvedev, in particular, speaks about the probable disintegration of Russia in the event of a defeat in the war. The ex-president of Russia spread the rhetoric of Vladimir Putin, who declared that the world without Russia cannot exist.

The authorities are preparing the Russians for defeat in the war

The military expert noted that the Russian leadership is trying to scare the world, but, above all, it is intimidating itself. In addition, according to Svitan, the rhetoric about the “threat” of the collapse of Russia has another purpose.

The Kremlin is already beginning to prepare Russians to leave Ukraine, and to leave in defeat. They are already drawing up such scenarios and psychologically preparing the Russians for the fact that the Russian army will leave Ukrainian territory. – said the colonel of the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He is convinced that the Russian leadership will try to justify itself in the eyes of the population. The Russian authorities seek to replace the concept and give out their shameful defeat in the war for victory . After the withdrawal of troops from Ukraine, the Kremlin can say that in this way it saved Russia.

“This is a good psychological mechanism to strengthen the spirit of Russians and stay in power,” Svitan said.

They will come up with a victory over the “terrible West”

According to the military expert, further the Russian military will keep the border line between Ukraine and Russia in defense mode, which was as of 1991. This will be presented to the Russian population as “protection of the state.”

“Three Russian regions have been preparing for this for several months already. In the Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions they are digging trenches and putting up the so-called dragon's teeth,” Svitan said.

He added that all this feigned protection of the border will be sold to the Russians as a victory over the “terrible West.”

Why Putin spoke about the collapse of Russia: briefly

  • Vladimir Putin decided to scare the Russians with the fact that the West allegedly seeks to divide Russia. The dictator said that the Russian people after the war may disappear
  • Russian human rights activist Mark Feigin believes that in this way the dictator is trying to scare the Russians and encourage them to go to fight for Russia.
  • Russian President Vladimir Putin is “in trouble” as his troops failed to make significant gains on the anniversary of the war in Ukraine. According to former FSB general Yevgeny Savostyanov, the Russian leader is terribly afraid of rising Russian anger after his troops have suffered repeated setbacks on the battlefield in recent months.
