Russia strikes Kherson again

Explosions occurred in Kherson during an air raid warning, which was announced at 17:15.

This was first reported by local Telegram channels, and later confirmed by the chairman of the Kherson MBA, Roman Mrochko.

— Explosions are heard in Kherson! The Russian army is shelling the city from the temporarily occupied left bank,” he said.

8 more Ukrainians were evacuated from the Gaza Strip

A representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oleg Nikolenko, said that during the current 24 hours, 8 Ukrainian citizens were transferred from Gaza to Egypt.

In general, since the beginning of the military conflict in Israel, 259 Ukrainian citizens have been evacuated from the Gaza Strip.

In addition, 26 citizens were transported today on a charter flight from Egypt to Moldova. Ukrainian diplomats assisted them in moving to Ukraine.

— In total, during the first stage of evacuation, Ukraine managed to remove 259 people from Gaza. We are grateful to Egypt, Israel, Qatar and other partners for their support,” the Foreign Ministry noted.

Electronic warfare army and robot army

Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov announced the launch of the Army of Robots and the Army of Electronic Warfare (electronic warfare).

He said this during a live broadcast at ForbesTech-2023.

— We will soon launch an Army of Robots, an Army of Electronic Warfare. We will rely on our ideology – market opening, transparency and the maximum opportunity to attract entrepreneurs who have already created various products and are able to scale products,” Fedorov said.

The minister emphasized that it is important not only to offer innovative developments, but also to be able to scale them.

Ukrainian missiles

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Yuriy Dzhigir said that one of the main priorities of the defense budget for 2024 will be missiles and ammunition.

He noted that approximately UAH 175 billion will be spent on this direction from the funds planned for 2024. For military equipment – about 80 billion UAH.

The next priority is the ongoing repair of damaged military equipment and the purchase of spare parts for it.

— The government has set the ministry the task of contracting as much as possible weapons and military equipment from Ukrainian manufacturers. And according to our estimates, more than UAH 190 billion of the funds that will be contracted next year will remain with the domestic manufacturer,” said Dzhigir.

Rotation and demobilization in Ukraine

President Vladimir Zelensky held a regular meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. According to the head of state, it dealt with issues of mobilization, demobilization and rotation of military personnel during the war.

– Bid. Complex issues: mobilization, demobilization, TCC, VVK, rotation, conscripts,” Zelensky noted.

The President instructed the relevant departments to “prepare comprehensive solutions.”

Conscripts go home after service

Ukrainian conscripts whose term of service has already ended will have the opportunity to demobilize in the near future. Military personnel who wish to stay can conclude an appropriate contract, said NSDC Secretary Alexey Danilov.

According to him, this issue was discussed during the Headquarters.

“Attention has been paid to the issue in order to fairly engage in the inclusion of people in the army who are necessary for defense capability. This process will take place. We understand how many there are,” said the NSDC Secretary.

According to him, President Vladimir Zelensky proposed demobilizing conscripts, which was agreed to at Headquarters. They will be able to demobilize in the near future.

New government in the Netherlands. Will Ukraine receive the F-16?

Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren expects that the next government will continue to support Ukraine, in particular, it will not refuse to participate in the F-16 fighter program.

According to the minister, the position of Geert Wilders, the leader of the Freedom Party, which won the parliamentary elections, causes concern among allies.

Ollongren assured that “in the Netherlands there is broad support for our assistance to Ukraine.”

“I hope and expect that this will not change in the new parliament.” But the Freedom Party is now the largest party (in parliament – Ed.), and they have never been enthusiastic about supporting Ukraine. Sometimes they were even pro-Russian. That’s why this worries me,” the minister noted.

The AP highlights Wilders' campaign platform, which states: We will not transfer our money or military equipment such as the F-16 to Ukraine.

The current government led by Mark Rutte will serve until a new coalition is formed.
