Gaza City is completely surrounded. Israeli troops are not considering a ceasefire.

The Israel Defense Forces have completely cordoned off Gaza City. IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said this on Thursday, November 2, at a press conference.

What Hagari said

An IDF spokesman described Gaza as a center of Palestinian militant activity.

Our troops have completed the cordon of Gaza City, the center of Hamas activity,” he said.

Khagari said Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh should fly to Iran on his private jet. Haniya now lives in Qatar.

He also said that Hezbollah and the Yemeni Houthis are trying to distract the Jewish state from the operation in Gaza with their attacks on Israel. Hagari stressed that the IDF is focused on Hamas. Answering a question from journalists about a possible ceasefire, Hagari noted that at present the concept of a “ceasefire” is not being considered by Israel at all.

More news about the war between Hamas and Israel

  • Recently, Israeli army engineers began destroying Hamas' underground infrastructure. Sappers use robots and explosives to destroy tunnels and militant traps.
  • Earlier, the editor-in-chief of the Israeli portal “Details” Emil Shleimovich, in a conversation with Channel 24, suggested that not only Iran, but also Qatar could be behind Hamas. He noted that it is Doha that is negotiating the release of the hostages.
  • Shleimovich commented on the third stage of the Jewish state’s ground operation. He said that clearing the tunnels is very difficult, because the militants have actually created an underground city that they can listen to and track.
