< p _ngcontent-sc150="" class="news-annotation">Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War said that the advance of the Russians in the Bakhmut area is slowing down. At the same time, the task of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not to behave in some kind of military trick of the enemy.

All this talk about an alleged operational pause has one goal – to alleviate the situation for the Russian occupying troops. This opinion on Channel 24 was expressed by military expert Andrei Kharuk.

Back to news ammunition. And also to ensure the possibility of sending “cannon fodder” – mobilized Russians – to the Bakhmut region.

As for the Ukrainian defenders, they will continue to liberate the territories of our state.

If there is an opportunity to take more advantageous positions, for example, to the east of Bakhmut, then our command will take advantage of this,” the military expert said.

According to him, this will another, albeit small, but important step in the liberation of our territory from Russian invaders.

The situation around Bakhmut: latest news

  • The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said that most of all, the Russians dream of reaching the administrative borders of the Donetsk region by the end of 2022. This is also why they continue their futile attempts to storm Bakhmut.
  • Thus, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has systematically suffered military defeats one after another. Therefore, by the end of the year, the Kremlin wants to show at least some results to its population and, more importantly, to the outside world.
  • The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that now the enemy has somewhat changed tactics in the Bakhmut direction: instead of large battalion tactical groups, the invaders operate in small groups. In addition, to break through and exhaust the Ukrainian defense, the invaders use prisoners, who are actually a disposable element.
  • Military expert Mikhail Prytula is convinced that a change in tactics will not bring any success to the invaders at the front. In his opinion, such a change in tactics testifies to the great losses of the Russians, because the occupiers become less by 500-600 people every day.
