The Russian armed forces hit one of the largest thermal power plants in Ukraine. It is reported that for several weeks there have been battles between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the invaders for the Uglegorsk TPP.
The shelling of the Russian military led to a strong fire on the territory of the thermal power plant. The administrative building was also destroyed.
Local journalists released a video of the fire. From afar, a large column of gray smoke is visible above the Uglegorsk TPP.

Uglegorsk TPP, located in the city of Svetlodarsk, according to preliminary data, is controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, Svetlodarsk was occupied by Russian troops.
What is the situation in the Donetsk region
- According to the Office of the President from the regions, in the Donetsk region, the Russians are shelling not only the positions of the Ukrainian military, but also front-line settlements.

- It was also reported that in the Toretsky area, enemies damaged the power grid, due to which the entire north of the region was left without electricity. It was only in the morning that the power supply was partially restored.
- Pivants continue to be evacuated from the Donetsk region, despite the shelling. The head of the Donetsk OVA, Pavel Kirilenko, said that the number of people wishing to leave the region is small, but on some days up to 100 people agree to leave. According to him, more people want to leave Konstantinovka.
- It should be noted that occupied Donetsk has been under shelling in recent weeks, the peaceful quarters of which the Ukrainian military has never hit. The Russian military is deliberately shelling Donetsk in order to blame Ukraine for this.
- According to the operational data of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian military has concentrated forces in the Severodonetsk and Bakhmut directions. The Russians are trying to establish control over Severodonetsk and hit the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk direction.
