Russian athletes were allowed to participate in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
The decision was made during the General Assembly of the International Paralympic Committee in Bahrain on Friday, September 29.
Delegates voted for the partial suspension of the Russian Paralympic committee. There were 90 votes for, against — 56. Six more — abstained.

The committee reported that 74 of its members voted against a complete ban for Russia’s violation of “constitutional obligations regarding membership”, 65 were in favor, and another 13 — abstained.
This means that Russian athletes will be able to take part in the 2024 Paralympics in Paris as individual or neutral athletes.
October 15-17 in Mumbai should a meeting of the International Olympic Committee will take place. It may consider the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in the 2024 Games.
In March, the IOC recommended allowing Russian and Belarusian athletes to individual international competitions on conditions of neutrality. The organization has not yet made a decision on their participation in the Olympics.
