The heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education of Portugal arrived in Ukraine: what is known about the visit

5 February Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Education of Portugal — Joao Gomes Cravinho and Joao Costa — arrived in Ukraine.

This was reported by the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the social network X.

Two-day visit with the main item on the agenda — war and restoration of Ukraine, — clarified by the ministry.

According to him, Cravinho is participating in the Reconstruction Forum, which is taking place in the Zhytomyr region.

The main topic of his speech at the forum — How Portugal can support Ukraine's recovery process as the country develops structural reforms as part of future EU membership.

In June 2023, Portugal announced a military aid package for Ukraine, which included howitzers and 14 M113 armored vehicles.
