The head of the IAEA Grossi went to Putin: how will this affect the situation at the ZNPP

IAEA Head Rafael Grossi to negotiate with Putin, because the situation around the Zaporozhye NPP remains tense. Russia refuses to release the hostages and withdraw its troops.

However, this visit is only a formality. There will be no changes in the security context at ZNPP. Political scientist Alexander Antonyuk told channel 24 about this.

“The task of the IAEA is to have a specific monitoring mission, and no more,” he said.

Sanctions should be imposed on Rosatom

The political scientist noted that the IAEA has the fewest questions so far. “I'm more concerned about why sanctions have not been imposed on Rosatom yet,” Antonyuk said. The Russian corporation continues to build a number of power plants in Romania, Egypt and Turkey.

Today, Putin uses these points, which will later be announced at meetings of the UN Assembly or the UN Security Council. Like, we meet and talk. Obviously, a peculiar picture is being created now, – Alexander Antonyuk believes.

The empire must be finished

Antonyuk notes that the decision lies with the West. “Until a global political step is taken on the world stage, what needs to be done with this absurdity – we will continue to tinker and play,” he is convinced.

The situation in Energodar, as well as in other occupied territories, will change only when the Armed Forces of Ukraine enter there and we restore our power there. Of course, this will depend on the supply of weapons to us. First, today we need to strengthen our air defense, and then we need offensive weapons.

The aggression that Russia is demonstrating today encourages us to talk not only about the moment of defense and the return of our territories, but also about delivering strikes on Russian territories – on Moscow, on St. Petersburg and other valuable cities. They will grapple until they get hit in the teeth in the same way, the political scientist assures.

The world must stop pretending to be afraid of the nuclear threat. Otherwise, Antonyuk notes, such a picture will continue to be preserved.
