At the last minute, the discussion of the war in Ukraine at the NATO summit was cancelled.

The decision to shorten the agenda was made by NATO representatives, according to the publication, the reason was a change in the schedule of meetings due to US President Donald Trump.
In The Hague, as in Canada the other day, there will be no long communiqués, only short statements of new commitments.
NATO's abbreviated schedule will feature only two major events:
- Welcome dinner at the castle of the Dutch royal family,
- one meeting of the North Atlantic Council.
Before that, there were two or three main events, besides the dinner with the royal family.
Due to the reduction in the duration and number of events, there will be no NATO Council meeting on Ukraine in The Hague.
According to the publication, this is another concession by the United States – the states, despite calls from some allies to hold such a meeting, were not interested in increasing attention to the war, the end of which Trump was unable to help, as he promised during last year's presidential campaign.
NATO summit: will Zelensky attend?
It is also noted that it is not yet clear whether Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who was only invited to the opening dinner of the summit on Tuesday, will be present.
Let us recall that Zelensky previously said that he had not yet made a final decision about going to the NATO summit.
It should be noted that a “Working Dinner of the Ukraine-NATO Council within the framework of the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs” is scheduled for 19.00 on June 24. There are no changes on the official website yet.
