Ukrainian gymnast Vlada Nikolchenko announced the decision to end her career at 21.
She announced this on her page on the social network Instagram.

According to her, there is sometimes a lot of injustice in life. She emphasized that “after one she decided that enough was enough, and this would become a point”.
The 21-year-old athlete added that she does not regret her decision at all.
She also asked her fans to be patient, because in a few days she will tell what prompted her to end her career.

Vlada Nikolchenko — medalist of various international tournaments. In particular, she won bronze at Euro 2019 and is a bronze medalist at the 2019 World Cup. In addition, she has two bronze medals at the 2019 European Games, as well as four gold and one silver medal in the Grand Prix series.
Scandal with statements about Poland
In the fall of 2023, Vlada Nikolchenko got into an international scandal when she spoke negatively about Poland and its inhabitants.
While at the Warsaw airport, she posted a message on Instagram, where she stated that she hated Poland and the Poles because they “ruined her mood”. People in Poland reacted to her words.
The message caused great indignation among Polish sports officials. Vlada then apologized for her words.
Subsequently it became known that Nikolchenko was expelled from the Ukrainian rhythmic gymnastics team. Vlada returned to performing in February 2024.
