The Government of Ukraine submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill to improve the issues of mobilization, military registration and military service.
This was first reported by a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Ukrainian Parliament, but subsequently draft law No. 10378 was published on the Rada website.
Let us immediately note that the bill must still be considered in the Verkhovna Rada, so some of the government proposals proposed below may be changed.

The explanatory note of the bill stipulates that the conscription age will be changed from 27 to 25 years.
In addition, the procedure for military registration of conscripts, those liable for military service and reservists will be improved.
The bill also proposes to provide the opportunity for military personnel who were released from captivity to rest and undergo recovery by providing them with additional leave while maintaining monetary support for a duration of 90 calendar days.
The exclusion of compulsory military service as a type of military service is also provided. Now all military personnel who are undergoing compulsory military service are offered transfer to the reserve.
The government also proposes to exclude from the list of conclusions of military medical commissions conclusions about limited suitability for military service.

For citizens of Ukraine, basic combined arms training is offered for 3 months. This applies to all citizens aged 18 to 25 years at all educational institutions.
The bill introduces optional basic military service for up to 25 years for those who have not completed basic combined arms training.
New restrictions are also being established regarding the rights of Ukrainian citizens who evade military registration and military service.
Administrative service centers (ASCs), as well as Employment Centers and Recruiting Centers will be involved in the recruitment of persons for military service.
In addition, the document proposes that a summons to the territorial recruitment and social support center (TCC and SP) could be sent to Ukrainians through the electronic account of conscripts, conscripts and reservists or by email. < /p>
The explanatory note of the bill also contains a clarification that the document should create conditions for “proper staffing of combat units during the repulse of armed aggression against Ukraine”.
The authors of the bill expect that the document will improve the process of manning the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during mobilization.
