According to Gromov, the main motive of Belarusian mercenaries is money. There is no ideological component in the actions of the occupying troops.
Fear and money are the main factors of the Russian military presence, Gromov emphasized.
The General Staff noted that infidels invite foreign representatives to the training grounds of Belarus – from Syria, Mali, Laos, Uzbekistan.
“There are suspicions that it is on the eve of Ukraine's Independence Day that Russia may arrange a provocation at the Belarusian training ground, with the death of foreigners. In order to demonize the Armed Forces of Ukraine and drag Belarus into hostilities,” Gromov added.
Belarusians want to defend Ukraine
On July 13, a Belarusian border guard illegally, under shelling, crossed the border from Volyn – he was detained. It turned out that the man violated the border to join the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the war against the Russian invaders.
Many Belarusians are also fighting for Ukraine. Thus, the battalion of Belarusian volunteers named after Kastus Kalinovsky was reorganized into a regiment. It included 2 subsections.
Earlier it was reported that the regiment of Belarusian volunteers named after Kalinovsky, which joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, would be the first to go against Lukashenka's forces if they attacked Ukraine. This was stated by the battalion commander.
