Russian invaders lose 10 tanks daily. The Ukrainian military used to lose a little more than one tank per day.

Since the beginning of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this figure has increased – our military began to lose up to 2 tanks every day. However, at the same time, the offensive led not so much to the loss of equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but to an increase in its stocks.

Russia is losing five times more tanks than the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The gap is stunning. An army that attacks usually loses more equipment than the one that defends. Since it needs to cross the terrain while the defense can simply hide in the trenches and behind the fortifications, firing from safer places, the publication reported.

Moreover, according to journalists:

• In theory, Russia has a superiority in firepower over the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but this has decreased with the increase in Russian losses;
• Ukraine receives more equipment from the world and Russia itself, whose military, retreating, abandon tanks and howitzers;
• accelerating Russian tank losses are the result of bad command and morale issues, not technological balance on the battlefield.

Half the combat vehicles Russia had to write early September, were abandoned by their crews, and then captured by the Ukrainian military, the publication noted.

They also explained what losses of Russian tanks are known. In particular:

• From February to September, Russia was losing 5 tanks a day. As of September 1, the Kremlin had already lost 994 tanks;
• that is why Moscow took out the old T-62s from the warehouses. As of October 19, the invaders have already lost 34 of these tanks. Moreover, 30 of them went to the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
• From February 24 to October 19, Moscow lost 1392 tanks. Of these, 801 were destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The losses of Ukrainian tanks are much less. In particular, as of September 1, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost 249 tanks. Of these, most of all – T-64. Since the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began, the losses have increased somewhat.

As of October 19, the Ukrainian army lost 320 tanks, 176 of them were destroyed. Over the past six weeks, Ukraine has lost 71 tanks, but captured 194, the report says.

That is, it turns out that the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the offensive did not so much lose equipment as increased its stocks.

As of October 21, the Russian invaders lost at least 66,750 units of personnel. In addition, since February 24, the enemy has lost:

• tanks – 2,573 (+6 units),
• armored combat vehicles – 5,258 (+3 units),
• artillery systems – 1,648 (+2 units),
• MLRS – 372,
• air defense systems – 189,
• aircraft – 269,
• helicopters – 243,
• UAVs of the operational-tactical level – 1325 (+14 units),
• cruise missiles – 329,
• ships and boats – 16,
• automotive equipment and tankers – 4,006 (+1 unit),
• special equipment – 147.
