Ukrainian diplomats began the preparatory stage of evacuating our citizens from the Gaza Strip against the backdrop of Egypt’s decision to allow foreigners to leave through the Rafah checkpoint.
This was announced by the speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko.
According to him, there are now 358 people on the list to leave, the vast majority are women with children.

— An official request has been sent to the parties involved to issue permits to leave the Palestinian enclave and transit through Egyptian territory. We are waiting for approval,” the diplomat explained.
Nikolenko also noted that they have prepared documents for Ukrainians who do not have valid travel documents, booked the necessary transport, and also formed a group of diplomats that will arrive at the border with the Gaza Strip to assist Ukrainian citizens on the spot.
— The departure of foreigners from Gaza will be carried out in alphabetical order, in accordance with their citizenship. We are working to get our people out as quickly as possible. The issue is under the personal control of Minister Dmitry Kuleba, he added.
