The first satellite images of the Machulishchi airfield appeared after the explosions

Explosions thundered at the Machulishchi air base on February 26, as a result of which an A-50 aircraft was damaged. Probably, the aircraft managed to relocate.

Satellite photos of Maxar were published by CNN journalist Gianluca Mezzofiore. He noted that the aircraft did not show significant damage.

“Maxar has published these images of A-50 AWAC aircraft at the Machulishchi Air Base in Belarus from today. I do not see serious damage,” the journalist wrote.

However, the center for monitoring military activity Belarusian Gayun noted that the damaged A-50 aircraft was relocated.

“Now we can say that the board has been moved, the place of its usual parking is frolicking, the AWACS is in a different place. The last time the AWACS took off was on February 22,” noted in the Belarusian Gayun.

An A-50 aircraft could have stood in place of the red arrow.

What happens at the airport

The founder of the BYPOL initiative Oleksandr Azarov said that the invaders are concerned about the explosions in Machulishchi. In all likelihood, they want to relocate all military aircraft to Russian territory. According to Azarov, Belarusian partisans were involved in the destruction of the A-50 aircraft.

Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko has not yet commented on the explosions in Machulishchi. Azarov noted that the partisans, who caused the explosions at the airport, managed to leave the country.

“The evacuation routes are strictly classified. Let the security forces guess how it happened. At the checkpoints, squads are now reinforced. The security forces in civilian clothes are trying to identify those involved,” Azarov said.

Note! After the explosions in Machulishchi, power structures controlled by Lukashenka began a search for “guilty”. One of the detainees was a local resident Kristina Maksimenko. In addition, they are also looking for 29-year-old Nikolai Shvets, a native of the temporarily occupied Crimea. However, remarks from BYPOL indicate that the man whom the security forces are looking for has no connection with the explosions in Belarus.
