The whole world continues to support Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor. Soon, Marder combat vehicles and a batch of ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft systems should be transferred to our country.
The largest German weapons manufacturer Rheinmetall has announced the dates for the transfer of this assistance to Ukraine. By the way, the first Ukrainian military arrived in Germany earlier to train on the Marder infantry fighting vehicle.
When Marder and ammunition for Gepard will be sent to Ukraine
As the director said company Armin Papperger, the first batch of ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft systems will be delivered to Ukraine by July 2023.
In addition, 20 Marder combat vehicles can be sent to Ukraine by the end March.In Papperger's words, his company has “doubled and even tripled its capacity in some sectors”.
From weapons production, the warehouse is full, we are operating at full capacity, and we can still increase capacity in one shift,” Papperger said.
