Sony has named a number of new games that will be the first to be available on the next generation console. This is reported in the material on the company's website.
The set-top box will include the Astro's Playroom platformer from Japan Studio, the rest of the games will have to be purchased separately. Since the release of the PS5, users will be able to purchase the action RPG Demon's Souls, which is a remake of the game of the same name and Destruction All Stars, which combines third-person action and racing.
Other exclusives available at launch include Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Sackboy A Big Adventure. The sequel to the Spider-Man series will appear in two versions – standard and extended. The basic version will cost 60 euros, the Ultimate Edition – 80 euros. Sony already announced Spider-Man: Miles Morales in the summer, but at the September presentation, the developers showed the game's expanded gameplay. In particular, the video showed the capabilities of the main character Miles – for example, to become invisible during the battle.
One of the main releases that was shown at the end of the event was the next part of God of War. Judging by the short teaser, the game will be called Ragnarok and is slated for release in 2021. Also, Sony has officially announced the release of Final Fantasy XVI – this is the first numbered part of the series since 2016. The sequel to the popular RPG will be exclusive to the PS5, but will be coming to PC at a later date.
During the event, Warner Bros. showed Hogwarts Legacy – a game in the Harry Potter universe. Its action takes place in the 1800s, the protagonist is an unnamed wizard with a unique gift. The open-world RPG will be available on all generations of consoles, including PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will be released in 2021.
Call of Duty game developers have shown the gameplay of the storyline campaign of the new part of the series. In the frames of a four-minute video, the main character is carrying out a mission in a Turkish airport with shootings and pursuit of an aircraft. PS5 and Xbox versions of Black Ops Cold War will be available as soon as the consoles go on sale. Presented at the event via a story trailer, Resident Evil Village will be released in 2021.
On September 16, Sony held another online presentation related to the PS5 console. The company has revealed the price of consoles – the cost of the PlayStation 5 with a floppy drive will be $ 499, the digital model will cost $ 399. In Russia, new gaming devices will cost 46,999 and 37,999 rubles, respectively. Sales of the console in our country will begin on November 19.
