The first F-16 fighters will begin arriving in Ukraine this year, along with trained pilots and personnel who will maintain the aircraft.
This was stated by Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin before the start of the Ramstein meeting on Friday, April 26.
When F-16s will arrive in Ukraine
— More squadrons of donated F-16s will begin arriving in Ukraine this year, along with pilots and support personnel trained by members of this Contact Group, — Austin stated.
According to him, over the past two years, members of the Defense Contact Group have provided Ukraine with more than 70 medium- and long-range air defense systems, as well as thousands of missiles.

Recall that on April 26, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin opened the 21st meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format on Friday, April 26.
The main priority at the meeting will be strengthening Ukrainian air defense. Artillery and armored vehicles will also be a priority.
