Investigators accuse the arrested Shamarin of receiving a bribe in the amount of 36 million rubles from top managers of the Perm Telta telephone plant. He faces up to 15 years in prison.

The commander of the 20th Army, Sukhrab Akhmedov, who was accused among Russian military officers of large losses of personnel, was also dismissed. In December 2022, he created the 155th brigade, which lost 300 people and 50% of its equipment during four days of assaults on Pavlovka, Donetsk region. According to Romanova, there are a large number of stories that tell about his incompetent command of the army. Akhmedov apparently bought a diploma and a driver's license.
