Igor Dashko blew himself up along with the radio station to stop the enemy
“He died heroically. He fought side by side with the Azov fighters. He had a radio station, and in order to prevent it from reaching the enemy, he died by blowing himself up. The last words he said on the air of this radio station were” Glory Ukraine!”, – said a friend of the deceased Igor Dashko with the call sign “Dnepr”.
Lieutenant Colonel Igor Dashko was originally from Samborshchyna. lived in a rented apartment. Now they have their own apartment in Lviv.
We learned about Igor's act from the Internet, and he impressed us very much. We would like to thank his family. This is a one-room apartment in a new building. Subsequently, we will make repairs, furnish and hand over to the owner. We do this so that our colleagues join and thus support our heroes, – said Vyacheslav Chepil, a representative of the construction company Resident Development.
Daughter Maria Dashko says that the new house was expected, but not at such a price.
The hero was happy to defend Ukraine
“Honestly, he was the best father in the world. And I miss him very much. When they called us and told us, the first thing I experienced was emptiness inside. On the other hand, pride in my father. I am proud of this man. Not just a father, but in general as a person,” daughter Maria shared.
The last time Igor corresponded with his wife, he said that he was happy to defend his homeland. And she was worried about him every minute.< /p>
“We already waited two years when he was in the ATO, and I hoped that this would never happen again. But it happened. Both my daughter and I had premonitions. But I got a chance to go there a week before the war, to Mariupol. And there were very happy moments,” says Igor's wife Olga Dashko.
A few days before the connection with him disappeared, I wrote to him that I was very “I'm worried about him. He promised that everything would be fine,” daughter Maria added.
Maria really wants to become a nurse and is now studying at a medical college. In the donated apartment with her mother, they will live together.
