Vladimir Zelensky supported the petition to introduce a visa regime for Russians. Such a step is already the extreme point of no return in relations between Ukraine and Russia.

People's Deputy Salomea Bobrovskaya told Channel 24 about this.

“The fact that the president supported this petition is already the extreme point of no return in relations. After February 24, and in general after 2014, it cannot be returned,” the deputy noted.

According to Bobrovskaya, now the Russians can cross the Ukrainian border if they have enough reason. However, this should be stopped.

Technically, this is done fairly quickly. The limiter should be sharp enough, clear. It seems to me that for the period of martial law, in principle, it is necessary to restrict the entry of Russians into the territory of Ukraine,” the deputy stressed.

Borovskaya added that this also applies to artists and liberal Russians who traveled to Ukraine during the 8 years of the war and spread Russian propaganda.

What is known about the visa regime for Russians

On May 25, Volodymyr Zelensky supported the petition on a visa regime for Russians. On the website of the Office of the President, she received more than 26,000 votes. The head of state thanked the Ukrainians who joined the petition for their active citizenship. Zelensky stressed that this issue is important and urgent.

The President has already instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to develop and resolve this issue. It should be noted that on February 23, the day before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Zelensky announced his intention to introduce visas for Russians.

  • Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Vadim Deniseko said that in the war against Ukraine, Russia has already used 60% of precision weapons. At the same time, whether Moscow will be able to restore its resources will directly depend on Western sanctions.
  • Russian invaders attacked 41 settlements in Donetsk and Luhansk regions during May 25. As a result of enemy shelling, 6 people were killed, 12 more were injured.
  • A representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine denied that the Armed Forces were retreating in the east of the state. According to him, in some areas, Russian groups do have temporary tactical successes. However, the fact that the Ukrainian troops are retreating there is a completely wrong interpretation of the actions.
  • According to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov, the Armed Forces of Ukraine in defense against the Russian military are most of all short of aircraft. The occupiers also have an advantage in the sky.
