In particular, we are talking about nuclear weapons. Europe does not understand who will take control of all this arsenal under the scenario with the collapse of the Russian state.

No less important is the issue of Russian refugees and migrants, a large number of which will definitely appear if Russia collapses now. Most of them will go to the countries of Europe, which will have to receive these people accordingly. And this costs a lot of money.
For example, when the Soviet Union collapsed, Europe and the United States were forced to feed its people and send humanitarian aid to countries that appeared on the map instead of the USSR. This created an increased burden on the economies and state budgets of these countries, and the same will happen now, if Russia suddenly disappears.
Understanding this, the Europeans think a few steps ahead and try to predict the situation. The best option for them is the “gentle” fall of the aggressor state.
“So that some adequate leader seizes power and retains control over weapons, criminals, and nuclear weapons,” the expert noted.
