Russia is destroying the statehood of Tatarstan
She noted that the number of Tatars in Russia has decreased over the past 10 years. According to her, we are talking about a decrease of 600 thousand people.
Fayzrakhmanova noted that the number of Tatar speakers has also decreased. Tatars are also deprived of the right to study in their native language in Russia, she added.
The journalist also noted that one language dominates in Tatarstan – Russian. She stressed that the statehood of the Tatar people was destroyed by the Russian authorities.
According to Fayzrakhmanova, after 2002, under pressure from Moscow, the constitution of Tatarstan was illegally changed. In 2022, the Kremlin liquidated the Constitutional Court of Tatarstan.
How many natives of Tatarstan died in Ukraine
According to the journalist, 228 natives of Tatarstan died in the war in Ukraine. She is convinced that the real numbers are actually several times higher. Fayzrakhmanova said that she regards this as a genocide of the Tatar people and others.
The Tatar people do not want to be cannon fodder for the Moscow Kremlin, she stressed.
She stated that Tatarstan can be saved from this only in one case – when Tatarstan is separated from Russia.
Fayzrakhmanova appealed to the European Parliament on behalf of Farid Zakiyev with a request to recognize the independence and state sovereignty of the Republic of Tatarstan from a referendum on March 21, 1992 .
How Tatarstan is losing its independence
- President of Tatarstan Rustam Minikhanov signed the law on amendments to the constitution of the republic.
- Changes were made to six chapters, including 60 articles of the constitution of the republic. Also, two new articles will appear there, and 25 have become invalid.
- In particular, the mention of the sovereignty of the republic was removed from the constitution, and the head of the Republic of Tatarstan will no longer be called president.
- From the constitution they removed references to the constitutional court, the agreement on the delimitation of powers, and also excluded the article on the citizenship of Tatarstan. The innovations imply that Tatarstan will no longer approve candidates for prosecutors proposed by Moscow.
