In general, the annual EU budget for next year, proposed by the European Commission, has a volume of €199.7 billion.
Note that the draft budget for 2025 is part of the long-term EU budget, which was adopted at the end of 2020 with amendments made in February 2024.
By the end of this year, the budget authority must formally approve the EU's annual budget for 2025.
Recall that on May 22, the EU and Ukraine signed a framework agreement for the implementation of the Ukraine Facility program with a total volume of €50 billion.
Subsequently, on June 6, the Verkhovna Rada ratified the framework agreement between Ukraine and the European Union regarding special mechanisms for the implementation of financing, according to the Ukraine Facility instrument.
Ratification of the framework agreement will establish the principles of financial cooperation between Ukraine and the EU within the framework of the Ukraine Facility, including the necessary mechanisms for monitoring and auditing the costs of this method. It provides for raising €50 billion by 2027.
