The toughest struggle continues in the Donetsk region. Fighting and shelling do not stop there.
On the air of the national telethon, the head of the UVA Pavel Kirilenko spoke about the situation in the region. He noted that the Donetsk region is proud and rebellious, holding out despite the constant shelling, Channel 24 reports.
The situation remains tense. We live under martial law. We interact with the Armed Forces. The enemy is unable to advance. The hottest directions are Bakhmut, Avdeevskoye direction, Marinka, Krasnogorovka,” Kirilenko said.
According to him, the enemy is trying to advance in these directions, but cannot. He suffers heavy losses and retreats.
Russia kills civilians
Kirilenko also said that on August 23, the Russians killed 1 civilian of Donbass – in Bakhmut . 2 more people were injured.
It is not yet possible to establish the exact number of victims from Russian aggression in Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Enemy losses
- Warriors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine daily inflict insane losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy. As of August 23, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that in total they managed to liquidate 45,550 infidels.
- Also, the Russians had another loss in aviation on August 22. After all, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down three enemy drones. Also, the defenders hit the points of supply of lubricants for infidels.
