Musienko believes that the Armed Forces of Ukraine definitely destroyed any plans of infidels regarding a possible operational encirclement of Ukrainian troops. Russia definitely intended to do this, starting in May, when it overturned a significant part of the troops in the Izyum direction.
According to him, the Russians also wanted to approach from the South, in particular, to the east of Gulyaipole. There were significant battles and forces tried to break through, but our defenders did not let them do it.
We can already say for sure that there simply cannot be an operational environment now, – said the head of the Center for Military Legal Research.
He stressed that the Ukrainian military kept the situation in the Donetsk region, in one of those areas where Russia is now trying to conduct active assault operations.
In what directions are there no threats
Musienko noted that during the previous two days the occupiers had been shelling Bakhmut quite powerfully. Russia is trying to storm there, but is not successful.
We can say that at least from the direction of the north of the Donetsk region, that is, from the direction from Izyum, there are no threats today. Ukrainian forces are already there,” he stressed.
The military expert noted that the enemy was also rejected in the area of Svyatogorsk, the Ukrainian forces actually occupy more advantageous positions there. And it's not so calm near the Liman, and Ukrainian forces are pushing the enemy back there.
Besides, this somewhat relieves pressure on the grouping of Ukrainian troops near Seversk. Because there, too, the enemy actually wanted to conduct offensive operations in two directions, – Musienko said.
So far, he added, such an opportunity still exists only from the Eastern direction. And from the North, the Russian occupiers have less prospects for such actions.
