What is the situation on the fronts
Over the past day, our soldiers repulsed more than 60 enemy attacks in different directions. At the same time, the enemy launched 8 missile and 32 air strikes. He made 85 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems. The threat of further missile strikes is significant throughout Ukraine.
Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Anna Malyar stated that the enemy is increasing the intensity of assault operations.
North
On the Volynsky, Polessky, Seversky and Slobozhansky directions, the formation of offensive groupings of the enemy was not detected. The occupiers fired on the settlements of Timonovichi and Berilovka in the Chernihiv region; Starikovoe, Bruski, Byvalino, Kruzhok, Manukhovka, Atinskoye, Porozok of the Sumy region and Krasnaya Zarya, Veterinary, Arrow, Gatishche, Volchansk and Volchansk Farms of the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansky and Limansky directions, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of the settlements of Makeevka, Ploshchadka, Kremennaya, Dibrova and Belogorovka of the Luhansk region. He carried out artillery attacks on the areas of the settlements of Dvurechnaya, Liman Pervy, Gryanikovka, Kurilovka, Kislovka and Tabaevka of the Kharkiv region.
East
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Vasyukovka, Orekhovo-Vasilovka, Berkhovka, Yagodnoye and Bakhmut of the Donetsk region. Enemy shelling was carried out on Zheleznyansky, Dubovo-Vasilevka, Berkhovka, Bakhmut, Ivanovsky, Stupochki, Konstantinovka, Kleschievka, Zhelezny, Ozaryanovka, Majorsk, Yuzhny and New York.
On the Avdeevka and Shakhtyorsk directions, the enemy continues to attack the positions of our troops, made several unsuccessful attacks in the direction of Kamenka, Krasnogorovka and Maryinka, Donetsk region. He carried out artillery and mortar attacks on the areas of the settlements of Avdeevka, Lastochkino, Netaylovo, Vodyanoye, Pervomayskoye, Krasnogorovka, Nevelskoye, Maryinka, Bogoyavlenka, Novomikhailovka, Bolshaya Novoselka, Neskuchnoye and Vugledar.
South
In the Zaporozhye direction, more than 20 settlements suffered fire damage. Among them are Vremivka and Novopol, Donetsk region; Kamyshevakha, Olgovskoe, Malinovka, Gulyaipole, Zheleznodorozhnoe, Volshebnoe, Orekhov and Novoandreevka of the Zaporozhye region.
The enemy also tried to move in the direction of Orekhovo to the villages of Malaya Tokmachka and Novodanilovka.
In the Kherson direction , 25 settlements of the Kherson region, in particular, Gavrilovka, Kachkarovka, Veseleye, Tyaginko, Inzhenernoye, Antonovka, Beregovo and Kherson, suffered from artillery fire from the Russian occupation forces.
We add that over the past day, units of the Defense Forces destroyed 11 Iranian attack UAVs and 1 Zola-type drone. Our aircraft delivered 4 strikes on the areas where the occupiers were concentrated. And the rocket and artillery units hit one command post, two enemy manpower concentration areas, and two air defense positions.
The defense forces continue to destroy the Russian occupiers at a colossal pace. So, on February 28, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liquidated 149,240 invaders. Over the past day alone, the Russian army has lost 550 soldiers, as well as many equipment.
