According to Smirnov, this story (Putin's invasion) will not end.
I will even say that the conditional end of hostilities this year will not mean that in 10 years Putin will not make a second attempt, – stressed the adviser to the minister .
Therefore, according to him, Ukrainians should live from the position of how people live in a very bad area. “When you can be attacked almost every day, you must be ready for a response, prepare your army and your defensive positions, etc.,” the expert explained.
Rostislav Smirnov stressed that the whole world has already understood that the only thing Putin understands is power . “And when the West began to give an answer, at first he did not understand this and began to raise the stakes. And now we see that nothing is working, the world is not afraid of him,” he added.
Why Putin needs Ukraine
The adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs replied that in his address at the beginning of the invasion, Putin said everything – for him there is no such country as Ukraine. In addition, the Russian literate Mikhail Dzygar said that back in 2000, as soon as he came to power, Putin said then that “we are losing Ukraine, we need to do something with it”.
Ukraine has always been in his field of vision. And in all these statements, Putin expresses claims not even to Ukraine, but to the Western world. Especially when he says that “so that they don't come in here, because there was the Soviet Union, and these are already independent countries. But this sphere of influence should be mine,” he added.
According to Smirnov, Putin is infuriated that Ukraine is oriented towards the West and abandons Russia.

- Bakhmutsky district – the battles were fought in the area of Alexandropol. The invaders hit our military with artillery. But this did not help them much, because the Armed Forces of Ukraine rejected the enemy. The occupiers continue their attempts to attack the areas of Lipovoe and Trypillya.
- Avdeevskoe, Kurakhivskoe, Novopavlovskoe and Zaporizhia directions – now hostilities are underway here, but with less intensity. After all, the infidels have chosen a different strategy: to consolidate on the captured lines. From aviation, they attack Avdiivka, Novoselovka II, Novomikhailovka, and also Nikolskoe.
- The South Buzh direction – here the infidels are trying to gain a foothold in positions that they have already managed to capture. In addition, they actively conduct reconnaissance and prepare for our military from artillery and barreled weapons.
